Speed, Power & Distance
The speed & power of the Xiaomi M365 Pro is strikingly similar to the stock model. However, the distance offered and build quality really sets this model apart, offering an additional 10 miles to its 45 km range compared to the default model.
How fast does it go?
15.5 mp/h (25 km/h)
What age/weight is it suitable for?
This electric scooter is most certainly aimed at teens and adults with experience riding. With a recommended height of 120-200 cm and no height adjustment, smaller children under the age of 10 will have a tough time trying to ride it. However, whilst the maximum recommended weight of the stock model is at a relatively low 100 kg, the Pro takes it another step up with a maximum load of 120 kg.
What is the range/distance?
Average range of approx. 45 km from a full charge. Please note that variables such as rider weight, terrain, weather, inclines, etc. will have an affect on overall performance. As previously mentioned, the Xiaomi Mi M365 Pro offers an additional 10 miles range over the stock edition.
Battery Life & Charging
Another improvement made on this edition is the inclusion of a bigger battery upgrade. As such, riders should expect a noted increase in battery life, range and overall performance. Xiaomi have also developed an energy recovery system, turning kinetic power generated from braking into electric energy for storage. The smartphone app further allows riders to alter the energy recovery levels. Alongside this, riders can easily monitor their battery life and speed, thanks to the comprehensive LED dashboard. The dashboard on the Pro is much better than the stock edition, which only displays four LED lights to indicate data and riders having to use their mobiles to access it.
How long does it take to charge?
Approx. 8.5 hours from an empty battery.
Battery protection & safety
Xiaomi place a high importance on the safety of their riders and the protection of electrical circuitry. To attest to this, the Xiaomi Mi M365 Pro features 6 battery and circuity protections implemented, including:
- Short circuit protection
- Overcurrent protection
- Double overcharge protection
- Double over discharge protection
- Temperature exception protection
- Under voltage automatic sleep
How long will the battery last for?
As a high quality lithium-ion battery, users should expect an average of 500-1000 charges before any problems arise, if they should. Even using and charging the battery on a daily basis, it should still last around 2-3 years minimum.
Design and Ergonomics
The Xiaomi M365 Pro is a huge step up functionality wise. Aesthetically, both models are extremely similar; however, that’s not to say they’re not sleek and stylish. An amazing, bold black frame with striking red accents gives this scooter an awesome appearance. The Mi M365 Pro features bigger & better brakes, a bigger battery and is fully folding and extremely lightweight. Thanks to these design choices, transporting and storing your electric scooter is simply a breeze. The Mi M365 Pro also features an improved dashboard, displaying battery level, speed and more; whereas before the stock model only had 4 lights to display data, which could only be accessed from your phone. Overall, this model looks exactly how you’d imagine a quality scooter to look like, suitably shaped, stylish and functional.
What material is it made from?
Crafted from aviation grade aluminium alloy and weighing in at just 14.2 kg; the Xiaomi Mi M365 Pro is certainly one of the lighter e-scooters on the market. Further materials include rubber used for tires, deck and handle grip.
Can it be used as a regular scooter?
Should the wheels remain unlocked after you run out of battery, there is no reason as to why the Mi Pro shouldn’t function as a normal push scooter.
Does it connect to your smartphone via app or Bluetooth?
The Mi Pro is actually produced by a smartphone manufacturer (Xiaomi), so as you’d expect, this scooter is fully smartphone compatible. Choose your optimal settings and run diagnostics on your scooter via Bluetooth with the mobile app, available on both iOS and Android. From here, you can manage speed, check your battery level, track your ride history, run diagnostics, set cruise control and much more.
Build quality and ease of use
As expected, the build quality of this e-scooter is of high quality and performs its function extremely well. The frame is made from aviation grade aluminium alloy, allowing for a lightweight yet seriously strong scooter that supports weights of up to 120 kg. With access to speed settings and cruise control, using the Xiaomi Mi M365 Pro is a straightforward process. Furthermore, the convenient display located in the centre displays a host of information to aid the rider. Riding this electric scooter is extremely comfortable, adequate foot room has been allocated, alongside comfortable rubber grips on the handlebars. Alongside this, the kickstand is convenient, compact and effective.
Safety and usability on the road
Due to the comparatively low speed and power of the Mi M365 Pro, you may wonder how safe it is to ride on the road. However, worry not; this model features both front and rear headlights to aid in ensuring you stay seen and safe, no matter the time. This variant also features the advanced brake system from the standard model, even further improved upon for this Mi M365 Pro model. Xiaomi’s patented kinetic braking system converts the force from braking into energy to boost your battery life. Alert pedestrians and rogue cyclists to your presence, thanks to the handy bell situated on the handlebars. Whilst this model is suitable for roadside use, we insist that you take extra precaution when riding at night, such as wearing a helmet and high visibility jacket.
Is the Xiaomi Mi M365 Pro waterproof?
The Mi M365 Pro is IP54 waterproof rated, meaning that light rain and mild water jets will not damage electronics and circuitry. However, we don’t recommend testing it out or submerging your awesome new ride. Learn more about waterproof ratings here.
Xiaomi Mi M365 Pro vs Segway ES4
Both of these models are beasts in their own right, however we aim to compare these two scooters and determine the better option. In terms of speed, both models offer strikingly similar speeds of 25 km/h (15.5 mp/h). Comparing motor power, both models are also powered by an 800W motor, propelling them to their shared top speed. Both models further feature 3 additional speed settings to choose from… The Mi M365 Pro vs Segway ES4 is starting to get interesting, these are two very similar, high performance electric scooters. Let’s move on to round 2, range: Another shocking development in the M365 Pro vs ES4 bout, both models offer a max. range of 45 km (28 miles); something must differ for these two perfectly matched heavyweights.
It’s like these scooters are long lost brothers, however the ES4 does have a marginally shorter charging time of around 7 hours, alongside a dual battery capacity and better suspension. Deciding a winner for the M365 Pro vs ES4 is a very tricky prospect, both scooters offer near identical performance and both are ergonomically similar in specs and design. Without factoring other variables or price into the mix and judging solely from performance, we have to say the the ES4 (without dual battery) is just barely better. However, with dual battery, the ES4 clearly wins. Discover more and read our Segway ES2/ES4 review!
Xiaomi Mi M365 Pro vs M365

Both offer very similar performance outside of range, where the Mi Pro model offers a resounding 45 km range, a big step up from the stock model’s 30 km. With the Mi Pro model, riders can see and access information with ease, all from a convenient display. Furthermore, the Mi M365 Pro also features an additional speed setting; take your pick from ECO, Regular and Sports mode at the push of a button.
The Mi Pro also features bigger and better brakes, alongside other upgraded functions: brighter lights, brakes and a better display being just a few notable improvements.
